mistress hoists the sails
(die nebel lichten sich, mistress packt die zeichensachen wieder aus. sie hat wieder bilder und sätze. hört musik. luchst ihrer wohnung freie plätzchen ab. auch wenn der herbst vielleicht schon kommt: mistress hat jetzt gute laune.)

mistress draws in the shadow
(ein wochenende, von der hitze bestimmt, von besuch, der kommt und geht, oder bleibt. fußballschauen, schattenplätze, zeit so gut verstreichen lassen.)
(a weekend, marked by the heat, and by guests, that come and leave, or stay. watching football, shadow places, time elapsing so well.
and today I found this photo, showing us exactly the way I’ve been drawing us yesterday. what a coincidence!

Some pictures showing our setting for the Heaven And artwork: our photographer Wolf, my boss Tina (moving) and finally me. We are working at Hafenjunge (thanks Markus for sharing the space!), which looked much emptier at that time and was neither ready nor open yet (it is now, come in, get a coffee when you are around!). We also noticed, that there were a lot of Apple products around. Well, that’s supposed to be the creative industry…or whatever!
Faboulous artwork for great musicians: this is how these things should be! Colorful, layering RGB lightspots by Tina Frank illuminate my illustration and the typography, in real 3D. That’s the scenery we created for Heaven And, and it would not look that perfect without Wolf-Dieter Grabner, who joined us as photographer.
We finally got the Vinyl Discs – and I am sorry to say so, but they look so much better than the regular jewel case CDs. Anyway: I am proud to see my illustration published in that context, and really enjoyed the collaboration!

den prototypen trage ich seit nunmehr 3 wochen mit begeisterung. deswegen bin ich fleißig gewesen und habe weitere hafentaschen genäht…mit den leuchtenden streifen ein super begleiter in den – zugegeben noch etwas zögerlichen – sommer!
die hafentasche gibts ab sofort in blau und rot beim hafenjunge (esterhazygasse 11, 1060 wien). wer nicht in wien ist (und die tasche dennoch gerne hätte), kann sich gerne per mail melden!

mistress stays at home
(ein tag in linz: morgens zum zug laufen, nicht wissen was auf sie zukommt. der nachmittag mit den studenten verfliegt, mistress redet viel. abends, zurück in wien, bleibt mistress erschöpft zuhause und vermisst ihre freunde.)
(a day in linz: running for the train in the morning, not knowing what the day will bring her. the afternoon with the students flew by, mistress talks a lot. in the evening, back to vienna, mistress is exhausted and stays at home, missing her friends.)

mistress feels like dancing

mistress is teaching
(mistress bleibt zum ersten mal über nacht in linz, für zwei nachmittage unterrichten an der uni. dabei gelernt:
das nächste mal schleppt sie bücher lieber im trolley (obwohl eigentlich nicht so ihr stil) als in der umhängetasche am rücken.
im hostel wird ein vierbettzimmer (mit 2 stockbetten) zum einzelzimmer, wenn nur einer drin schläft.)
(it is the first time mistress stays overnight in linz, for teaching two afternoons at the university. she learned: next time, she'll take the trolley for all the books instead of the bag (even if it is not perfectly her style). in the hostel, a four-bed-room turns into a single room, it there is only one person sleeping in it.)
mistress is beaming

Following the previous CDs “Tales from the East Side” and “The Livingroom Sessions”, Bernhard Eder releases a new EP called “The Unexpected”. The charming combination of new songs and cover-versions will be presented on the spring tour. For this release, I did the design of the EP, as well as the tour posters and flyers. Currently, I am working on a new website for the artist, which will be online within the next month.

The catalogue to Norbert Pfaffenbichler’s exhibition at the Kunstverein Medienturm in Graz (Austria). I was responsible of the design and the realization of that book, which I did with Tina Frank Design. Now it is done, I am really proud of it!
