oh. and it’s for a book. a story about a girl and a cat and dead girls and cats and some more things that happen. it was written by klinsmaus and we decided to make this a book, some day, when the drawings are done.

The intended series of christmas cards turned into something slightly bigger this year: a handmade, limited edition of linolcut prints! I have them in black, and a few are with brown color, which looks softer – I don’t know, which is my favorite yet. I will use a number of them for my own christmas mailings, for the others, I shared them with you.

zwischen weißes rössl und the shining, das lentos als hotel für eine nacht…am 2. oktober 2010, während der langen nacht der museen. tina frank macht die projektionen (bewegung! licht! farbe!). ich zeichne kulissen.

wasn’t sure for the girl, but liked the colors. the soft aquarell tints complete my drawings quite well (not a great surprise, but hey, it took me more than 4 years of mistress to try it out!)

the kind of drawings my boy calls “coco vivi” – there was another one, even better, in the postcard series.

one more – too much colored surfaces, not enough whites left. maybe the occasion to mention an inspiring documentary on arte about joann sfar. he was talking about how he tought his daughter “never give the objects their real color”, which is so true, but wasn’t very helpful for her at school.

Some pictures showing our setting for the Heaven And artwork: our photographer Wolf, my boss Tina (moving) and finally me. We are working at Hafenjunge (thanks Markus for sharing the space!), which looked much emptier at that time and was neither ready nor open yet (it is now, come in, get a coffee when you are around!). We also noticed, that there were a lot of Apple products around. Well, that’s supposed to be the creative industry…or whatever!

die hafentasche gibts ab sofort in blau und rot beim hafenjunge (esterhazygasse 11, 1060 wien). wer nicht in wien ist (und die tasche dennoch gerne hätte), kann sich gerne per mail melden!
